I joined eHarmony on April 22, 2008. After just over a week, I’ve “met” a few interesting singles, but am wondering if this completely automated service is worth the cost.
Concerns:
-Redundancy? Up time? The site has gone down twice in my first week. You’re SOL if you’ve spent 58 minutes crafting second questions responses because they are lost forever.
-If you’re a member and you can’t log on for some reason (which seems to happen with great frequency), there is no member support contact information on the site. Take a look, eHarmony does not want to talk to paying members.
- Again, if you’re a member and you can’t log on for some reason (which seems to happen with great frequency), you can send mail to “customer care” in the Non-Member inquiry section of the site. However, no one actually reads your mail. eHarmony sends a canned responce based on the “question” category you’re forced to select and the automated reply does not include a contact number for customer care.
- Individualized profile and targeted matching? I’ve received some “interesting” matches and I’m wondering how I can be an introspective extrovert? I guess I’m more dynamic than I thought.
So far, I don’t feel like a valued customer and am thinking eHarmony should move some funds from advertising to customer support and site development/infrastructure. More to come…
How nice. After joining EHarmony with their Master Marketing Scheme.. I joined however, can never login. The system is always unavailable. I can’t even get them on the phone to get a refund. Why would I pay for a site I can not access? But yet, I still see their commercials and marketing being displayed. So if the commercials are still being played but new users can not access the site then whats the point of the commercials.
